Celebrity Fake Heiress Anna Delvey Allowed to Return to Social Media

In a recent development, a judge has permitted Anna Delvey, famously known as the “fake heiress,” to resume her presence on social media platforms. This decision comes after a prolonged legal battle that involved her being restricted from posting online content. Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, expressed her relief at being able to “control [her] own narrative again” following the court ruling.

Anna Delvey gained notoriety in 2019 when she was incarcerated for portraying herself as an aristocrat to defraud several businesses of approximately $200,000. Upon her release from prison, Delvey was placed under house arrest by immigration authorities as they deliberated on her status in the United States. In addition to being fitted with an ankle monitor, the judge imposed a ban on Delvey from engaging in any social media activities.

Legal Victory

With her legal team arguing that the constraints placed on Delvey were unnecessary and infringed upon her constitutional rights, the court eventually granted her permission to reconnect with her online followers. This newfound freedom is not only a chance for Delvey to rehabilitate her public image but may also present lucrative business opportunities for her in the fashion industry.

Anna Delvey, known for her impeccable style showcased during her court proceedings, has already made strides in the fashion world. She collaborated with renowned fashion figure Kelly Cutrone to establish the OutLaw Agency, organized a successful Fashion Week show for designer Shao Yang, and leveraged her immigration court appearances to promote Yang’s creations by donning custom outfits before the judge.

Expressing gratitude towards her legal team, particularly lawyers John Sandweg and Catherine Hunstad, Anna Delvey acknowledged their efforts in safeguarding her First Amendment rights throughout the legal battle. As she prepares to re-enter the social media sphere, Delvey aims to continue leveraging her influence and reputation to make a mark in the fashion industry and beyond.
