She encouraged fans of the late actor to make donations in his name to causes that he was passionate about, such as The Actors Equity Foundation or the ASPCA. Benji Gregory rose to fame as Brian Tanner on the hit series “Alf,” starring in 101 episodes from 1986 to 1990. He also made appearances on shows like “The A-Team” and “The Twilight Zone” in the ’80s. Despite his success in Hollywood, Gregory opted to leave the entertainment industry in 2003 to serve in the U.S. Navy as an aerographer’s mate. He was honorably discharged in 2005.
